Why it’s finally time to sing a different song about UK equities

Some years ago, it was still customary to tell people who endlessly repeated themselves: “You sound like a broken record.” This rebuke reflected what little remained of the golden era of vinyl and turntables.
If a cursory search of the internet is any guide, there is no modern-day equivalent geared to the streaming age. Such is progress, I suppose. But no matter: investors might feel “You sound like a UK equities fund manager” does the job perfectly well.
