White & Case advises bank syndicate on Springer Nature IPO

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised a syndicate of underwriting banks on the initial public offering of Springer Nature AG & Co. KGaA (Springer Nature) on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

Around 27 million shares were placed at a price of €22.50 per share, with gross proceeds accruing to Springer Nature amounting to approximately €200 million. The final offer price represents a market capitalization of €4.5 billion and the shares are admitted to trading on the regulated market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (Prime Standard).

Springer Nature is a leading global research, health and educational publishing house. It is owned by entities controlled by Holtzbrinck Publishing Group and funds advised by BC Partners.

The White & Case team in Frankfurt that advised on the transaction was led by partners Oliver Seiler and David Rath and included partner Rebecca Emory, counsel Camilla Kehler-Weiß and David Santoro and associates…
