Billionaire investor Warren Buffett‘s Berkshire Hathaway has emerged as a large player in the US Treasury bill market, amassing about 5% of all outstanding short-term government bills, as per a report.

JPMorgan found that the T-bills holdings at the end of March have risen to $314 billion, according to a Benzinga report That would rank Buffett’s company as the fourth-largest holder of these bills in the world, as per the report.

Berkshire Hathaway’s large Treasury holdings doubled last year, which outpaced even the holdings of foreign banks, the Federal Reserve, Local Government Investment Pools, offshore money market funds, and stablecoin-backed reserves, reported Benzinga.
