Update: Mountain Parks Electric customers report power outages across Grand County

Update: All power has been restored as of 11:45 a.m. today, according to Manager of Member Relations and Communications Aaron Street for Mountain Parks Electric.

At 11:59 p.m. on Friday, April 26, the town of Grand Lake experienced a power outage and line crews responded and were able to switch and restore power at 1:07 a.m. on Saturday. The transmission outage that caused this outage is being looked into. 

Today at around 8:30 a.m., there were around 128 meters out in the County Road 8 area. Street says that this was caused by wet heavy snow causing some trees to fall into Mountain Parks Electric lines. Then by around 9:30 a.m., there were around 200 meters off all across Grand County.
