Investing.com – Canadian equities started mixed on Tuesday. The top fallers were Capped Consumer Staples, Capped Materials and Capped Communication Services indices. The top gaining indices were Capped Information Technology, Capped and Capped REIT.

At the market open in Toronto, the stays steady with a 5.46 points increase. The and the were also up. The TSX Venture rose 0.21%, while the Smallcap was up by 0.10%.

Top Gainers:

  • Superior Plus Corp (TSX:): Climbed 1.61% or 0.10 points to 6.30.
  • BlackBerry (TSX:): Increased 1.29% or 0.07 points to 5.50.
  • Celestica Inc (TSX:).: Rose 1.35% or 1.89 points to 142.18.

Top Losers:

  • Denison Mines (TSX:): Dropped 3.41% or 0.10 points to 2.69.
  • Energy Fuels Inc (TSX:): Declined 2.84% or 0.220 points to 7.540.
  • NexGen Energy (TSX:): Fell 1.79% or 0.180 points to 9.870.

In Commodities Trading:

  • March Contract climbed by 1.02% or 0.74 points to 73.06 a barrel.
