Investing.com – Canadian equities started mixed on Friday. The top gainers were Capped Materials, Capped Consumer Discretionary and Capped Real Estate indices. Capped Energy, Capped Consumer Staples and Capped Financial were amongst the top fallers.

At the market open in Toronto, the climbed 0.09%. The and the also increased. The TSX Venture rose 1.00%, while the Smallcap was up by 0.56%.

  • First Majestic Silver (TSX:): Climbed 7.09% or 0.62 points to 9.36.
  • Fortuna Mining (TSX:): Rose 5.43% or 0.35 points to 6.79.

Top Losers:

  • Calibre Mining (TSX:): Dropped 6.09% or 0.17 points to 2.62.
  • Bausch Health (TSX:): Fell 3.03% or 0.35 points to 11.19.
  • Tamarack Valley (TSX:) Energy: Declined 2.26% or 0.090 points to 3.900.
