Investing.com – Canadian equities started with losses on Friday, with losses in every sector including , Information Technology, Energy and Industrials indices.

At the market open in Toronto, the fell 1.65%. The and the also declined. The TSX Venture dropped 1.27%, while the Smallcap fell by 1.73%.

  • Centerra Gold (TSX:): Climbed 7.16% or 0.65 points to 9.73
  • Oceana Gold (TSX:): Rose 3.09% or 0.105 points to 3.505
  • Lundin Gold Inc (TSX:): Increased 2.44% or 0.58 points to 24.32

Top Losers:

  • Bausch Health (TSX:): Declined 8.38% or 0.71 points to 7.76
  • Shopify (TSX:) Inc: Fell 8.17% or 6.29 points to 74.05
  • Parex Resources (TSX:): Dropped 7.38% or 1.45 points to 17.06

In Commodities Trading:

  • for September delivery declined 2.51 points to 73.80 a barrel.
  • October Contract fell by 2.74% or 2.18 points to 77.34 a barrel.
  • for December delivery rose 36.50 points to 2,517.30 a troy ounce.
