Toronto exchanges hit corporate market capitalisation record

The combined corporate market capitalisation of the Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange has hit C$4.8 trillion ($5.4 trillion), an all-time record.

The C$4.8 trillion is the total of each company’s market capitalisation listed on the TSX and TSX-V.

A TMX Group Q2 2025 Mining Highlights Report shows that as of 30 June 2025, there were 578 mining financings on both bourses. 

The equity capital raised on both exchanges totalled C$4.8 billion – 41% of the total for all sectors.

TMX reports the average financing size for TSX mining issuers is C$31 million and C$4.5 million for the TSX-V.

A recent TSX-V listing is Axo Copper (TSX-V:AXO), a Canadian mineral exploration company engaged in the exploration and development of the La Huerta property, a new copper discovery in Jalisco, Mexico.
