The United States noted a reduction in Russia’s investments in the government bond portfolio

OREANDA-NEWS  In May, Russia reduced the portfolio of US government bonds to $ 45 million from April’s level of 46 million, according to data from the US Treasury Department.

As follows from the statistics published by the Ministry of Finance for May, the Russian portfolio consists of $ 42 million in long-term securities and $ 3 million in short-term ($45 million in long-term and $ 1 million in short-term in April).

Japan remains in the first place in the list of the largest holders of US debt, its investments fell to $ 1.128 trillion in a month from $1.15 trillion in April. China is in second place again with 768.3 billion dollars (770.7 billion in April). The third was the United Kingdom, which increased the amount of bonds on its balance sheet to 723.4 billion from 710.3 billion dollars.
