As the second series of The Traitors airs on BBC One, season one winner Meryl Williams has exposed how to save oneself from being the first to be eliminated.

Speaking to Sky Vegas, the 27-year-old admitted that the loudest person in the room is usually the first to be voted out, so it’s in the contestant’s best interest to keep quiet.

Sharing advice for the next crop of stars, she explained: “Be yourself and try not to lie, if you’re not a Traitor. So if you’re Faithful, just go in and be yourself and don’t lie.

“You know, call a spade a spade, just be yourself. Then no one can trip you up, just be honest. Don’t try to be the loudest voice in the room because that’s always the first person to be taken out.”

“I wouldn’t start making enemies the first day,” the champion revealed. Meryl went on to explain not to blindly trust anybody as you don’t know who is really your friend and who isn’t.
