The environment friendly way to cool down hydrogen

Researchers use magnets to produce liquid hydrogen

A new technology developed by the researchers at the University of Groningen uses magnets to cool down a substance to -253°C. This temperature is cold enough to liquefy hydrogen. This method involves using magnetocaloric materials that heat up on installing a magnetic field. The heat is then transferred to the heat sink to reduce the temperature, and the substance in touch is cooled down.
