Certain Tesla Inc TSLA employees from China have reportedly been registered for the employee FSD program, hinting at yet another step towards the deployment of the EV maker’s advanced driver assistance system in the Asian country.
What Happened: Despite the appearance of the new wording on certain employee vehicles, no FSD (Supervised) features have been activated yet, Teslarati reported, citing an “employee source” who shared a screenshot to a Tesla tracker on Twitter. Benzinga could not independently verify the report.
It is still uncertain when Tesla plans to launch FSD in China. Tesla’s FSD is a driver assistance software that it believes will enable vehicle autonomy in due time. Currently, however, it requires active driver supervision.
