Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks fell again Wednesday as worries over the Evergrande crisis and China’s economy weighed on sentiment ahead of a Federal Reserve policy decision later in the day.
The Hang Seng Index lost 1.4 percent, or 218.38 points, to 15,485.07.
The Shanghai Composite Index gave up 1.48 percent, or 41.98 points, to 2,788.55, and the Shenzhen Composite Index on China’s second exchange dived 3.03 percent, or 48.22 points, to 1,544.90.
