Stock Market Today: Dow, S&P Live Updates for April 8

Stocks and US equity futures posted mostly modest moves as investors prepared for a busy week that includes US inflation data, the start of the first-quarter earnings season and a European Central Bank interest rate decision.

Mining stocks led gains in Europe Monday after a rebound in iron ore prices, with the regional Stoxx 600 Index risng 0.3%. Contracts for the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq 100 were little changed following a strong close on Wall Street Friday, spurred by the latest blockbuster US labor-market figures.
