Stellantis announced its decision to end its hydrogen fuel cell technology development program, citing limited available infrastructure, high costs, and a lack of strong consumer incentives.

For those reasons, Stellantis said it would not launch its hydrogen-powered Pro One lineup this year. The company had planned to start serial production of medium-sized vans in France and large vans in Poland this summer.
Stellantis added that it does not expect to begin using hydrogen-powered light commercial vehicles by 2030.
The automaker stated that ending the hydrogen technology program would not affect staffing at its production sites. Related research and development efforts will shift to other projects.
