S&P/TSX composite up nearly 200 points as price of oil climbs higher

TORONTO — Canada’s main stock index was up nearly 200 points in late-morning trading, powered higher by strength in the energy and base metal sectors, while the price of oil climbed. The S&P/TSX composite index was up 197.50 points at 30,180.48.
