Solar on La Crosse Schools finishes Polytechnic School project

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WEAU) – Solar on La Crosse Schools is celebrating its newest rooftop solar array on top of La Crosse Polytechnic School.

A rooftop tour Friday helped educate the community about the importance of solar power.

“This is the third school for the district that Solar on La Crosse Schools has fundraised to make a solar array possible. We’re demonstrating some education materials and making sure that the community knows this project is here. It’s awesome that you can see it right outside the window of this classroom. A lot of our other projects are on a rooftop where you can’t see as easily,” says Solar on La Crosse Schools Volunteer Director Alysa Remsburg.

Quartell Roberson is the principal of La Crosse Polytechnic, and says the solar project is a big financial help for the school.
