On October 9, major A-share indices opened higher and continued to rise. The Shanghai Composite Index increased by 1.32% to close at 3,933.97 points, the Shenzhen Component Index rose by 1.47%, the ChiNext Index gained 0.73%, and the STAR 50 Index surged by 2.93%. The trading volume of the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets reached RMB 2.65 trillion, an increase of RMB 471.8 billion compared to the previous trading day.
In terms of sector performance, international gold prices hit new highs repeatedly during the National Day holiday. Precious metals and gold sectors performed strongly, with Sichuan Gold and CICC Gold among those hitting the daily limit.
