  • Global Bitcoin miner Riot Platforms (NDAQ:RIOT) announced it had increased its stake in Canadian rival Bitfarms (TSX:BITF) to 18.9 per cent.
  • Riot had acquired ownership of 1 million common shares of the company, representing approximately 0.22 per cent of its issued and outstanding common shares
  • The shares were acquired on the Nasdaq Stock Market and other open market trades for C$3,129,942.84
  • Riot Platforms Inc. opened trading at C$10.89 per share and Bitfarms Ltd. opened trading at C$3.17 per share
