Riding The Wind, Delaware Continues To Explore Clean Energy Options | News

Delaware – As the debate over wind power in the First State continues The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control’s (DNREC) State Energy Office has submitted a comprehensive report to Governor John Carney and state lawmakers.  That report outlines recommendations for the development of a offshore wind strategy.

The report, titled “Proposed Offshore Wind Procurement Strategy for Delaware,” emphasizes collaborative efforts with neighboring states and strategic planning for a coordinated, cost-effective buildout of the transmission system on a regional scale.

In addition to the offshore wind procurement report, DNREC also delivered the first Climate Action Plan Implementation Report to Governor Carney and state lawmakers. That report highlights the state’s progress in reducing emissions and transitioning to clean energy sources.
