Representative Riley’s act passes, supporting funding transparency of clean energy projects

NEW YORK (WBNG) — On May 20, the House of Representatives passed Representative Josh Riley’s (NY-19) bipartisan Clean Energy Demonstration Transparency Act.

During a recent House Committee on Science, Space & Technology hearing, officials said that Riley exposed a key witness as having ties to the oil industry and relying on shoddy data to oppose clean energy manufacturing projects.

Riley’s bill will increase the Department of Energy’s Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations data reporting requirements to ensure taxpayers and policymakers can access accurate and reliable data about clean energy manufacturing projects.
