Over 1,800 Pine Belt customers without electric power

PINE BELT, Miss. (WDAM) – Over 3,640 customers of four south Mississippi power companies are without electricity, thanks to the wind and rain of Francine.

The breakdown:

  • Mississippi Power: 751
  • Southern Pine: 546
  • Pearl River Valley: 1,849
  • Dixie EPA: 494

In the Pine Belt, eight counties are affected by these power outages.

1,826 customers are currently without power in the Pine Belt.

Lamar County currently has the most outages, with 1,030 customers out of power.

The Pine Belt’s impact:

  • Covington: 122
  • Forrest: 127
  • Jones: 493
  • Lamar: 1,030
  • Marion: 507
  • Perry: 1
  • Smith: 35
  • Wayne: 4
