Olectra Greentech unveils ambitious plans for bus manufacturing expansion

Hyderabad-based electric bus maker Olectra Greentech‘s new facility is expected to begin production from July 2024. It will start with an initial capacity of 5,000 buses, gradually ramping up to 10,000 buses. The company plans to deliver at least 2,500 buses in FY25.

KV Pradeep, Chairman and Managing Director said Olectra currently has over 9,000 bus orders and has successfully delivered 232 buses in the first half of the fiscal year. It is poised to deliver an additional 500 buses in the second half.

However, there has been a slight adjustment in the projected delivery numbers for the fiscal year 2024, with the revised target now set at 700 buses compared to the previously guided 1,000 buses.

One significant project on the horizon is the PM e-Seva tender, which is yet to be submitted by Olectra Greentech. The company sees this as a strategic move to further solidify its position in the market and contribute to the government’s…
