Nicola Mining to start gold mill in British Columbia in Q3

Nicola Mining (TSXV: NIM) has begun receiving gold and silver ore from Talisker Resources (TSX: TSK) and is currently undergoing pre-production adjustments.

Nicola’s $33 million milling and processing facility, located near Merritt, British Columbia, underwent several upgrades in 2024. Production at the facility is expected to ramp up and reach full capacity in Q3.

The company has also begun the process of applying for a permit amendment to increase mill throughput. Nicola’s Merritt Mill is the only facility in British Columbia permitted to accept third-party gold and silver mill feed from across the province.

The company had previously announced that it signed a milling agreement with Talisker on July 18, 2024. The two companies have started working with Ocean Partners UK Limited on the sale of gold and silver concentrate.
