FAMILY HANDOUTThe mother of a seven-year-old boy who was killed in a suspected hit-and-run crash in Kent has shared her gratitude following her son’s funeral.
Laura Brown, the mother of William Brown, has said she was “overwhelmed by the love and support” at his funeral on Saturday.
William was hit while walking in Sandgate Esplanade in Folkestone on 6 December.
Hundreds attended William’s funeral at St Mary and St Eanswythe Church.
Ms Brown said: “I haven’t ever seen the church so full, it was wonderful to see – you could feel the love in there”.
“I’ve had so many messages, its just been human nature at its finest, everyone has come out to support and honour and respect William,” she added.
King Charles granted special permission for William to be buried at his local church as it is no longer used for burials.
