A man faces several felonies after being arrested for stealing power wires in Moore County.

Moore County Sheriff’s deputies were called on Friday to the Eagle Springs area for reports of wire being stolen from a power pole, leaving about 150 Randolph Electric customers without power.

Deputies said 44-year-old Eric Wayne Callihan had stolen the wires. He was arrested the same day.

Callihan is facing charges including felony injuring an energy facility, felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods and felony obtaining property by false pretense.

He is being held in the Moore County Detention Center under a $275,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is on Sept….
