Milan stock exchange accentuates decline after WS with utilities, Ftse Mib on October 10 lows

Indexes deteriorate in Piazza Affari, weighed down by Wall Street’s negative performance.

Around 3:45 p.m., the Ftse Mib index gives up 1.10 percent on session lows, returning to the levels of last Oct. 10.

Particularly hit were utilities, which were penalized by the jump in government bond yields: Snam, Terna and Italgas gave up around 1.7 percent.

Banks also sold off with the sector index down 0.7 percent. UniCredit retreats 0.8%, while Intesa gives up 0.2% on the day of quarterly…
