Metaplanet Enters FTSE Japan Index as Mid-Cap Spotlight: FTSE Upgrade to Mid-Cap Spotlight

Metaplanet becomes a member of the FTSE Japan Index (mid-cap), effective September 2025, a noteworthy equity market upgrade.

Metaplanet is going to be included in the FTSE Japan Index as a mid-cap stock, according to the FTSE Global Equity Index Series, which has revealed a significant number of changes.

The change will be effective when markets close on Friday, 19 September 2025, and implemented on Monday, 22 September, as per the latest semi-annual review of FTSE Russell.

The review is an update of constituents of the FTSE Asia Pacific ex Japan ex China, Japanese, and China indices. 

It indicates the solid growth of Metaplanet in terms of market capitalization and increased investor attention. The above changes have been confirmed by FSTE Russell in its official notice dated 22 August 2025.
