Loose Body Panels Force Tesla (TSLA) to Halt Cybertruck Deliveries

Tesla’s (TSLA) Cybertruck is facing a major production hiccup due to which deliveries of the electric pickup truck have been postponed, according to a report by Electrek. The delay follows multiple reports from Cybertruck owners citing problems with loose body panels, including a video of a panel detaching from a vehicle while driving.

The Issue at Hand

The problem is related to the “cantrail trim,” a piece that runs along the Cybertruck’s roofline. This trim, along with other body panels, has been reported to fall off, raising safety concerns. Several complaints about these incidents have been sent to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The issue appears to be linked to the adhesive used to attach these panels, which may not be holding up under different temperatures.
