Lithium-ion battery explosion causes fires in Ludlow home

LUDLOW — An electric scooter battery explosion caused a house fire in Ludlow on Tuesday, the State Fire Marshal’s Office determined.

Firefighters were called around 4 p.m. Tuesday to the fire, the state Fire Marshal’s Office said in a statement. No one was hurt, but the home was damaged and its residents are displaced.
