Wind energy is a smart decision that helps farmers spread risk during challenging years like the one we are currently facing. Iowa has successfully operated wind turbines for more than 20 years and these Iowa counties are growing and thriving. The wind industry will bring new investments, jobs and tax revenue to Clinton County.
As a landowner in Clinton County who has closely followed the wind energy discussions for over a year and a half, we should be alarmed that Supervisors Jim Irwin and Erin George are failing the people by picking winners and losers; and NOT doing what is best for Clinton County.
