LANSDALE — The Lansdale Electric department has once again earned a high honor.
“Hold the press: here’s our official plaque for our ‘Reliable Public Power Provider,’ platinum membership,” said councilwoman Carrie Oglesby, as she and Electric Superintendent Andy Krauss presented the award, from the American Public Power Association for 2024-27, to council on Wednesday night.
The RP3 designation is given by APPA for a three-year interval and recognizes public power utilities that demonstrate proficiency in four key areas: reliability, safety, workforce development, and system improvement. The borough had previously earned the Gold designation in 2018 and platinum in 2021 from the same program.
