Jordan approves national strategy to become regional hub for green hydrogen – Fast Company Middle East

As countries worldwide race to adopt cleaner energy sources, Jordan is stepping up efforts to harness its renewable energy potential. Green hydrogen, produced using renewable power, is emerging as a key pillar of the Kingdom’s strategy to transition to a sustainable, low-carbon economy.

On Wednesday, the Cabinet approved a comprehensive framework to accelerate green hydrogen development across Jordan.

According to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the newly adopted strategy outlines a national vision to position the Kingdom as a regional hub for green hydrogen production.

Prepared by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the framework emphasizes Jordan’s natural advantages: abundant solar and wind resources, vast unused lands, and regulatory incentives that make the Kingdom an attractive destination for investment in the emerging sector.
