Getinge’s production facility in Halland is now powered by 99.9 percent renewable energy

Getinge has successfully installed solar panels on the roof of its production facility in the Halland town of Getinge. Combined with electricity from a nearby solar park, this means that 99.9% of the energy used at the production facility now comes from renewable sources.

The solar installation covers approximately 3,000 square meters of panels and was commissioned in May 2024. Together with electricity from the nearby solar park in Susedalen, about 55% of the annual electricity needs at Getinge’s production facility in Halland are now met by locally produced renewable energy. The remaining electricity needs are covered by renewable energy with guarantees of origin. In total, this means that the facility is now powered by 99.9% renewable energy – an important milestone in the company’s climate efforts.
