Frankfurt Stock Exchange opening: Hope for trade talks helps DAX advance

FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) – Hopes for trade talks between the US and China gave the German stock market a slight boost ahead of the weekend. However, price gains remained limited on Friday morning. The leading index, the DAX, rose by 0.3 percent to 24,273 points in the first few minutes of trading. The stock market week, which is coming to an end, can boast an impressive gain of 1.8 percent.

The MDAX for medium-sized companies was up 0.3 percent at 30,095 points. The Eurozone’s leading index, the EuroStoxx 50, rose by 0.4 percent./bek/jha/
