FRANKFURT (DEUTSCHE-BOERSE AG) – Following fresh records on Wall Street last Friday, many now see promising prospects for the DAX. Should the current geopolitical calm persist, economic data is likely to return to the spotlight. A stock market debut is scheduled for Thursday.

Calmer conditions in the Middle East, renewed hopes for interest rate cuts in the US, and signs of easing in trade disputes are all boosting sentiment. “On the capital markets, the ‘geopolitical easing’ has put investors in a celebratory mood, prompting them to shift into risk-on mode just as quickly as they previously switched to risk-off,” notes Helaba analyst Claudia Windt.
