Investors will have a plethora of fund choices when the UK ISA announced in this year’s Budget finally launches.
The government is consulting on rules for the UK ISA that would allow savers to invest an additional £5,000 in funds, provided 75% of their assets are invested in UK companies.
That could give investors a choice of 362 funds, run by 315 fund managers, in Citywire’s UK Equities sector.
A further 57 ‘tracker’ and exchange-traded funds in the Investment Association’s UK All Companies, UK Small Companies and UK Equity Income sectors would likely be eligible, along with 51 investment trusts in the Association of Investment Companies’ three sectors of the same name.
