Canadian explorer Faraday Copper’s (TSX:FDY) Vice President of Exploration Thomas Bissig has received the 2024 Association for Mineral Exploration (AME) Colin Spence Award.
The award, sponsored by Dentons Canada, has been granted to Bissig for leading Faraday Copper’s discovery of new near-surface copper-silver mineralisation at the Copper Creek deposit in Arizona, US.
Earlier this month, Faraday revealed new opportunities to enhance the Copper Creek Project’s value after undertaking over 30,000m of incremental drilling.
Some of the latest assays include 118.28m @ 0.30% copper and 1.14 grams per tonne silver and 109.42m @ 0.41% copper, 0.007% molybdenum, and 1.24g/t silver.
A third phase drilling program is continuing within the project, focusing on near-surface mineralisation in the American Eagle and Rum areas.
