E3 Lithium secures $3.2M Canadian gov’t funding for Clearwater project

E3 Lithium (TSXV: ETL) said on Monday it has been conditionally approved for up to C$4.7 million ($3.2 million) in federal government funding for Clearwater project in Alberta.

The funding is part of the Critical Minerals Infrastructure Fund (CMIF). Launched in November 2023, the CMIF aims to provide investments of up to C$1.5 billion in clean energy and transportation infrastructure projects until 2030 to enable the sustainable development and expansion of critical minerals in Canada.

The funding to E3 will be used to undertake preconstruction work on transportation and energy infrastructure for the Clearwater lithium brine project. This includes studies to assess transportation upgrades to support industrial traffic as well as methods to optimize its lithium production.
