As the reality of former President Donald Trump’s return to the White House set in this week, environmental and clean energy groups in Oregon warned Trump’s second presidency could thwart the state’s climate and air pollution goals.
“I can’t sugarcoat it, this is a major blow for climate progress and there’s a lot of uncertainty right now,” said Meredith Connolly, the director of policy and strategy at Climate Solutions, a Northwest-based nonprofit focused on clean energy.
