Coinbase Waves At Canadian Football League Fans With $25 In Bitcoin

Coinbase is sponsoring the Canadian Football League (CFL) and the 111th Grey Cup as the new official crypto partner.

The crypto exchange believes there is a significant opportunity for growth in the Canadian market, with an estimated five million crypto holders residing in the country, about 13 percent of the population. This makes Canada the second-most crypto-aware country across all of Coinbase’s international markets, according to Coinbase.

A study found that nearly a third of Canadians plan to buy cryptocurrencies if more regulatory measures were in place. Previously, Coinbase expanded its operations by recruiting 200 individuals to develop a customized platform for Canada, its largest market outside the U.S.
