Germany-based FUCHS Lubricants has released its RENOLIT CX SWG 0-1 grease specifically engineered for automotive gears, including electric power steering systems.
The product is per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and lithium-free, motivated in part by increasing scrutiny on PFAS and lithium hydroxide, which are now under regulatory pressure from global bodies such as ECHA, REACH and the US EPA.
Formulated with a calcium complex thickener, RENOLIT CX SWG 0-1 operates effectively across a broad temperature range from -40° C to 130° C.
RENOLIT CX SWG 0-1 is designed to minimize noise and friction and is compatible with high-performance cast polymers extensively used in critical steering applications.
In testing, the RENOLIT CX SWG 0-1 demonstrated superior results in torque stability, temperature control and wear resistance compared to traditional grease formulations. Compared to lithium soap-based…
