Catly Developers Deny AI And NFT Allegations

Date:

Summary

  • Many assumptions have been made that the Catly trailer was created using artificial intelligence.
  • Additionally, many believe the project to be based on NFT blockchain technology.
  • Although many fans remain skeptical, the developers refute these claims and attempt to preserve their innocence.

At the 2024 Game Awards, amidst the amazing announcements and Nvidia advertisements, there was a game called Catly, which immediately drummed up suspicion of AI. Although the trailer was seemingly innocuous, some imagery felt ripped straight from an NFT trading website.

It’s been a rocky few years, but the massive push for AI and NFTs in gaming has been largely on the decline. This whole tactic was almost entirely intended to harpoon the top 1% of gamers who spend loads of cash on microtransactions, so it’s no wonder the general public would still be cautious of games like Catly.
