Investing.com – Canada stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Toronto, the lost 0.01%.

The best performers of the session on the were Eldorado Gold Corp (TSX:), which rose 5.42% or 1.29 points to trade at 25.11 at the close. Meanwhile, K92 Mining Inc (TSX:) added 4.59% or 0.42 points to end at 9.57 and Lundin Mining Corporation (TSX:) was up 4.23% or 0.60 points to 14.77 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Innergex Renewable Energy Inc . (TSX:), which fell 4.32% or 0.41 points to trade at 9.09 at the close. Brookfield Renewable Energy Partners LP (TSX:) declined 4.10% or 1.55 points to end at 36.25 and Linamar Corporation (TSX:) was down 3.76% or 2.31 points to 59.17.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Toronto Stock Exchange by 559 to 382 and 100 ended unchanged.
