Canada stocks higher at close of trade; S&P/TSX Composite up 0.39% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Canada stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Toronto, the gained 0.39%.

The best performers of the session on the were Osisko Mining Corp (TSX:), which rose 62.93% or 1.85 points to trade at 4.79 at the close. Meanwhile, IAMGold Corporation (TSX:) added 10.75% or 0.63 points to end at 6.49 and Barrick Gold Corporation (TSX:) was up 9.37% or 2.24 points to 26.15 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Mattr Corp (TSX:), which fell 8.45% or 1.36 points to trade at 14.74 at the close. Ballard Power Systems Inc (TSX:) declined 5.99% or 0.16 points to end at 2.51 and Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp (TSX:) was down 4.72% or 0.35 points to 7.07.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Toronto Stock Exchange by 529 to 399 and 99 ended unchanged.
