Investing.com – Canada equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Toronto, the declined 0.04%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Capstone Mining Corp (TSX:), which rose 7.53% or 0.47 points to trade at 6.71 at the close. Ero Copper Corp (TSX:) added 5.44% or 1.07 points to end at 20.73 and Lithium Americas Corp (TSX:) was up 5.44% or 0.34 points to 6.59 in late trade.

Biggest losers included BlackBerry Ltd (TSX:), which lost 17.92% or 0.86 points to trade at 3.94 in late trade. B2Gold Corp (TSX:) declined 10.45% or 0.42 points to end at 3.60 and NovaGold Resources Inc (TSX:) shed 9.38% or 0.44 points to 4.25.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 556 to 411 and 117 ended unchanged on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
