Investing.com – Canada equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Toronto, the added 0.32%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Precision Drilling Corporation (TSX:), which rose 5.30% or 3.69 points to trade at 73.28 at the close. Bausch Health Companies Inc (TSX:) added 5.28% or 0.55 points to end at 10.96 and Interfor Corp (TSX:) was up 3.91% or 0.88 points to 23.40 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Aritzia Inc (TSX:), which lost 4.91% or 1.29 points to trade at 25.00 in late trade. First Quantum Minerals Ltd . (TSX:) declined 2.84% or 0.37 points to end at 12.68 and Onex Corp (TSX:) shed 2.48% or 2.26 points to 88.71.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 641 to 303 and 116 ended unchanged on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
