Canada shares higher at close of trade; S&P/TSX Composite up 0.21% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Canada equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Toronto, the gained 0.21% to hit a new all time high.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were ATS Corporation (TSX:), which rose 7.23% or 2.95 points to trade at 43.75 at the close. Aya Gold & Silver Inc (TSX:) added 5.09% or 0.65 points to end at 13.41 and Finning International Inc . (TSX:) was up 3.04% or 1.12 points to 37.92 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Storagevault Canada Inc (TSX:), which lost 3.84% or 0.16 points to trade at 4.01 in late trade. Celestica Inc. (TSX:) declined 2.59% or 3.31 points to end at 124.54 and Bausch Health Companies Inc (TSX:) shed 2.45% or 0.28 points to 11.17.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 563 to 387 and 83 ended unchanged on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
