FRANKFURT (DEUTSCHE-BOERSE AG) – In a comparatively quiet market, both professionals and private investors are closing their short positions – apparently to get out with as little loss as possible, as Goldberg suspects. Could the increasingly positive market sentiment already be under pressure?

The fact that there were repeated volatile phases in between may also be due to Donald Trump, who announced comprehensive tariffs on April 2 under the name “Liberation Day”, particularly for trading partners that he accuses of “ripping off” the USA.
