FRANKFURT (DEUTSCHE-BOERSE AG) – In addition to Rheinmetall, there is now a lot of focus on other defense companies, led by Renk and Hensoldt. German stocks are in demand as underlying assets. Nvidia and Tesla remain important, but other tech stocks are receiving less attention.

June 26, 2025. Certificate trading continues to focus heavily on defense stocks, this time including Rheinmetall, the Augsburg-based tank supplier Renk, and the defense electronics group Hensoldt from Taufkirchen near Munich. “This is likely to have something to do with the NATO summit and the planned defense spending of 5 percent of GDP,” notes certificate trader Markus Koniger of ICF Bank. US tech stocks are no longer quite as important, with two exceptions: Nvidia and Tesla. In addition, there is renewed interest in gold and oil.
